The NBMS Fellowship for Christian Athletes (FCA) is a sponsor for Operation Christmas Child. From Wikipedia: Operation Christmas Child is a 'global Christmas gift exchange' project operated by Samaritan's Purse. Each November it opens thousands of locations, typically at churches or schools, to collect shoeboxes filled with toys, school supplies, personal items, and other gifts. These boxes are then distributed as Christmas gifts, accompanied by Christian literature. From 1993 through 2008, some 69 million gift boxes have been handed out in more than 130 countries.
In order for the boxes to be shipped in a timely manner, the boxes will be packed this Friday (Nov. 4th) at our monthly meeting. We are looking for items to be donated this week and put into a box in the caferteria so we can send them to underprivileged children all over the world. We will need money donations (given to Mrs. Mahouchick or Mrs. Rosage) as well as small gifts, toys etc. for the shoeboxes. Please look at home for gently used items or buy some inexpensive items for these boxes. For this collection, we aren't taking any toy weapons, liquids, or food.
Thank you for helping!
