Nearly 200 students in grades three to 12 attended the Southeast Regional Science Fair (SERSF) on Saturday, February 11, 2012. The annual event is hosted by the University of North Carolina Wilmington Science and Mathematics Education Center (SMEC). The students, fair winners from 13 different area county public and private schools, presented their science projects for a panel of judges who determined the regional champions.
Student scientists that represented New Bridge at the county and regional levels were: Davis Long, Hannah DeNuzzi, Mini Arcot, Tanya Mittal, Ayomide Ojebouboh, Moshe Simpson, and Allison Ingraham.
New Bridge is proud to announce that Allison Ingraham placed third in the Biological Science Division. Allison’s project was chosen by SERSF judges and will advance to the North Carolina Science & Engineering Fair at Meredith College in Raleigh on March 25-26.
